Currently On TRT But Getting A Bad Feeling About Your "T Clinic"?

We see new patients every day that are rightfully concerned about the quality of care they are receiving at a low T center. Let us evaluate your current regimen, and get you on the optimum treatment option today.

What Are The Signs Of Low Testosterone?

Any of the below may be a sign you have low T. Don't just write it off as "I'm just getting older", we can help you feel 20 years younger. Happier, healthier, back to enjoying life.

  • Lack Of Energy
  • Problems Getting or Maintaining and Erection
  • Decreased Interest In Sex
  • Lack Of Motivation
  • Decrease In Performance At Work
  • Decrease In Strength and/or Endurance
  • Decreased "Enjoyment of Life"
  • Feeling Sad and/or Grumpy

Unlike Low-T centers that often do not perform adequate testing prior to starting therapy or have patients on unsafe medication regimens, at Gulf Coast Urology we offer the latest and most effective options in testosterone replacement therapy.

Hormone replacement is dangerous if not performed and monitored by experts. It is worth the time and effort to have a regimen created and monitored by our team.

At your consultation we will learn more about your symptoms, and discuss the best treatment for you.

What Are My Treatment Options?

  • Clomiphene/Enclomiphene
    • A tablet that is taken three times a week to naturally raise your tesosterone, up to 3 times higher than where you started.
    • The best method for those who want to preserve fertility, and/or want to try a more natural method.
    • No long term impact on your body's natural T production.
  • Tesosterone Injections
    • Weekly or twice weekly injections of liquid testosterone under the skin, just like weight loss medications or insulin. Painful intramuscular injections are no longer needed, so most men can perform these injections at home.
  • Pellets
    • Small pellets, about 1/8 of an inch, containing time release testosterone are inserted under the skin by one of our doctors. The process takes about 2-3 minutes, and the area of insertion is completely numbed so there is minimal if any pain.
    • This is a self pay service, we charge $500 per insertion, that price includes the entire procedure and the pellets.
    • Pellet insertion is typically done every 3-4 months.
    • While costly, it is the best option as it keeps the testosterone level at a consistent level at all times. Pellets have the highest patient satisfaction of all TRT methods.
  • Topical Gel
    • Applied daily in the morning
    • Typically has the lowest impact on T levels of any of these options
    • Can be very expensive, even with insurance.
  • Oral Testosterone/Intranasal Testosterone
    • Every patient we have put on these has moved to another type within 2-3 months.
    • The issue is they do not provide a significant improvement in symptoms.

At the time of your consultation we will review any current lab results and order any additional testing required. After starting therapy, repeat labs will be done in 6-8 weeks. We will meet with you in office or via tele-health to see how you are feeling and assess for dosage adjustments. After that we will meet every 6 months with new labs done prior to your visit.

In office testosterone pellet placement is performed by our board certified urologists for $500, which covers everything for the procedure. Pellets are the easiest for the patient, have fewer side effects than injections, and do not require the hassle of having to fill a prescription every month. Most patients will require pellet insertion 3-4 times a year.

You Deserve To Feel Better. Make an appointment today and get your life back.

Testosterone is considered a controlled substance by the DEA. Pharmacies and only give out a 30 day supply. The prescription has to be renewed 6 months, after a face to face visit. Currently tele-health appointments are allowed for refills, but this may change as prior to 2020 virtual prescribing was illegal.

Questions We Get Asked The Most By Patients:

Here are some of the topics patients ask us about frequently.

There are a lot of ads for "Low T". Is there really a benefit to taking testosterone, or is it just hype?

While there has been a recent trend in popularity of testosterone replacement, most of this is the result of how much better most men feel on therapy. "Low T" centers have gained popularity because many physicians are not well educated on hormone replacement. These centers offer a much more convenient experience for patients, however this is often at the expense of patient safety.
